Quarter circle forward, Quarter circle backward...

HADOUKEN!

So on Tuesday I FINALLY got my hands on STREETFIGHTERIV (Collector's edition y'all, with the Ryu figure AND red headband, SO boss.) and after salivating over it for YEARS, (Seriously, the teaser trailer debuted in what, 2007? Christ.) I finally was able to really get my hands on it--the little playtime I had last Wednesday at GamePro only furthered my enthusiasm for obtaining it. The new gameplay mechanics are ridiculous, I mean seriously! ONE MOVE (the focus attack) allows you to parry, cancel specials, attack through blocks... WOW. It's pretty hard to really use properly, I've sort of been throwing it out for novelty until I really get the hang of it, but it's super cool. I like how they brought Street Fighter back to basics--A tactical fighter. As much of a fan I was of III, this one really shines. The animation is great too, the character's make facial expressions, and their mouths move when they talk--it's amazing what technological leaps can be made in the span of 20 years (2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the Street Fighter franchise btw.).

...So I've really been overanalyzing my friends lately (read: talking shit). Ugh, why do I do that? I have this strong tendency to look really hard at people's faults, despite knowing how good their positives are. Usually it doesn't hold me back, but recently I had been really upset. I thought I was upset with my friends for their shortcomings, but honestly, I've just been an elitist. FORTHERECORD, my friends are FUCKINGAWESOMEinboldassletters, and I think that is why I am so hard on them. If they're so awesome, why do they have faults? Awesome people shouldn't have faults! (this is completely false btw, everyone has faults, especially me, and I'm the most awesome person in the world, don't get it twisted.) But y'know what? Fuckit, at the end of the day, there is a reason why I call them my friends, cuz we're all Some Savs--SLAPSLAPSALUTWOZSZH.

SOYEAH. Duncan woke me up this morning cuz he couldn't get a copy of STREETFIGHTERIV, (SUCKAH! Shoulda preordered it you beezy!) so I unlocked a couple characters and played some online matches while talking to him on the phone about how to locate one. He ended up being shit outta luck and upset, I told him to play some III to tide himself over, and he said "FUGGYOU YOU'RE ONLY SAYING THAT CUZ YOU'RE PLAYING IV RIGHT NOW." Bastage. We talked a little more while I played more matches and then he had to go and see his cousin. I went upstairs to find my dad working from home, and writing his 25 random things note for Facebook. HAH. My dad's 25 random things must've been the most carefully crafted note I had ever seen on Facebook, it's literary gold, seriously. My sister came home, we played SOME MORE STREET FIGHTER, grabbed some chow mein for lunch, and then she and my dad left to the city for her orthodontist appointment. I hopped on AIM and chatted with MellyC about all sorts of random stuff, and then I got my bag ready for class. Gathered everything up, hopped on BART (4watt podcast on BLAST, before I switched it to my birthday essential mix by Crookers--SAV.) and went to my Anthropology class. MightySP texted me saying his computer ate his paper, man I HATE when that happens--"A pen and a pad will never erase your work." true ass statement SP.

So Anthropology DRAGGED on, as it normally does. I hopped on AIM on mephone and MellyC chatted me up some more--made class go by hella faster. Drew some pictures, got our take-home test, and bounced my way back home. (Kaskade's Guestmix on Matt Darey's radioshow.) When I got off BART I threw on Walter Meego's "Through a Keyhole", remixed by Le Castle Vania, and danced my way all the way down the street 'til I got to my house. Said hello to my dad, ate some dinner, and BACK ON STREET FIGHTER I WENT. Duncan gave me a call (or did I call Duncan? Hmmm...) and I played some more online matches. While I was talking to him I COULD NOT LOSE. It was ridiculous. When he hung up I lost a couple, then won a bunch more, and then I noticed my cousin Tam-Tam online. Turns out, HE HAS STREETFIGHTER TOO! I threw him a match invite and we bashed each other's faces in for a while. (His Ryu, my Ken.) When we finished, I told him he could get his buttwhupped some more tomorrow, and then I hopped on Zoe's computer, turned on AIM, and decided to write a blog...

NOT A LOT HAPPENED THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS. Street Fighter will be taking over my life for quite some time, hahahahah. Maybe I'll go to Davis this weekend with PNC+Some Savs, gotta ask my folks first.
//.End. Slap. Slap. SALUTWOZSZH!
